R(h)um and more !

In the 18th century, the Danish West Indies fleet carried out a flourishing trade with the rum-trading city of Flensburg. Ever since, (not only) people in Northern Germany have been drinking rum – in tea, with Cola and in cocktails!

You can find out from our exhibitors how varied and fascinating good, neat sugar cane spirits are. Whether the name is spelled rum, rhum or ron - discover the exotic world of sugar cane and taste produce from all known and less well-known producer nations. Rum can be made from sugar cane juice or molasses. You can try both types and find your new favourite for cosy evenings in the colder months of the year.

You also have the opportunity to take part in tastings and find out more about the various types, how they are made, and where they come from.
